Born in Riga, Latvia on May 8, 1945. Professional training: Riga Applied Arts High school (1960-1965).
Member of Latvian Artists' Union since 1980. Member of Latvian textile Artists' Association since 1995. He has contributed to major exhibitions of textile and applied art in Latvia and has had over ten solo shows.
Participation in jury and group exhibitions in France, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria Sweden, Italy, Russia, India and Japan.
