Born in Bene, Dobeles district, Latvia, February, 3rd 1941.
Professional education: Riga  Applied Art High School (1955 – 1960)
Latvian Academy of Arts, Textile department (1965 – 1970)  M.F.A. (1993)
Member of Latvian Artists' Union since 1989. Member of Latvian Textile Artists Association since 1993.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1970; two solo exhibitions (1994); participation in jury and group exhibitions in Latvia, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Russia.
