 Born on April 1, 1935. Professional training: Riga Applied Arts High School, Ceramics Department (1950 - 1955), employment at the textile plant "Rigas Audums ", participation in Kurts Fridrihson's water-color painting studio (1956 - 1966). Latvian Academy of Arts, Textile department (1966 - 1971). Member of Latvian Artists Union since 1967 Has had more than thirty solo shows in Latvia and abroad. Has participated in group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Czechoslovakia, Germany, YugosIavia, Poland, England, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, USA, Japan, Estonia, Canada, France, Australia, Denmark, Russia, Italy and elsewhere. |
