Born in Riga, Latvia, on December 17, 1925. Professional training: University of Latvia, Faculty of Architecture, Riga (1945-1952). Latvian Academy of Arts
(1946-1949).
Professional memberships: the Architects' Union of Latvia (1958), the Artists' Union of Latvia (1966), Latvian Textile Artists ' Association (1995).
He has contributed to all major exhibitions of textile art in Latvia and has had six solo shows. Has participated in jury and group exhibitions in Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, USA and Canada and has received several awards.
