Ilze Muceniece was born on February 25th, 1954 in Riga. She has graduated from Latvian Academy of Arts. Since 1980 Ilze participates in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad. Ilze is a member of Latvian Artists`Union. Her works are to be found in several private collections and are exposed in different countries. Last personal exhibition has taken place  in Riga - gallery "Cherado Art Empire" in  August, 2006.
She prefers to work in oil and pastel techniques.
