PETERIS POSTAZS

Born in 1940. Professional training – Janis Rozentals Art School of Riga (1954 – 1958), Latvian Academy of Arts, Painting Department (1958 – 1964) – under the supervision of prof. E. Kalnins. Enhanced his skills in the St. Petersburg Art Academy.
Has been contributing to exhibitions since 1965. Member of Latvian Artists' Union since 1968. Member of Association "B – 13" since 1993.
Has had about ten solo shows in Riga and other cities of Latvia. Participated regularly in group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Austria and elsewhere.
His works are to be found in the collections of the State Art Museum and Latvian Artists' Union, Ministry of Culture of Russia and Russian Art Fund, as well as in many private collections in Latvia and abroad.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
