GEORGS SMELTERS
Born in 1942, died in 2014. Professional training: Janis Rozentals Art School of
Riga (1953 - 1964), Graphic Art Department at the Latvian Academy
of Arts (1964 - 1970) under the supervision of professor A. Goltjakovs.
Contributor to exhibitions since 1965. A member of the Artists' Union
of Latvia as of 1973. A member of the B - 13 Association (1993
- 1998) since 1993.
Various exhibitions in Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Poland, Germany,
Italy, Sweden and elsewhere.
Awards in competitions and exhibitions of prints.
Currently professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
